Business Office Director.Â
The Business Office Director is responsible for the following:
Plan, direct, coordinate and control the operation and financial activities of the hospital business office with primary emphasis on the control of accounts receivable and related patient procedures as these pertain to verification of insurance, charge entry, billing, collections, cash posting and month end reports.
Ensure the importance of accuracy, attention to detail and timeliness of third-party claims and/or self-pay follow-up.
Works closely with CFO to achieve facility goals for AR days and Collections.
Must have strong knowledge of inpatient and outpatient hospital billing and insurance collections.
Must have the ability to manage, supervise and provide direction to the fiscal staff.
A strong knowledge of Excel, electronic billing and general accounts receivable systems is critical.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Interacts with patients and staff in a professional manner, promotes teamwork and demonstrates Service Excellence.
