Hospital Medicine at GMC which boasts 21 residency and 17 fellowship programs, is at the center of our innovation, education and research enterprises. The Department of Hospital Medicine consists of a team of over 150 hospitalists and 50 advanced practitioners providing inpatient care at 10 hospitals in Central and Northeastern Pennsylvania.
A Hospitalist position with Geisinger provides you with comfortable work schedule and quality time to care for patients. Schedules are flexible with broad career opportunity as referenced below.

A newly revised compensation and benefit plan is highly competitive with national market based benchmarks. Compensation is not based upon productivity(RVUs) or incentive metrics.
Geisinger Medical Center (GMC), located in Danville, Pa., the largest tertiary/quaternary care teaching hospital in the region, is licensed for 475 beds, including 89 pediatric beds in the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital.
