The Physical Therapist II evaluates and treats patients to promote recovery from and positive adaptations to physical deficits caused by injury or illness in the Inpatient Physical Therapy department at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center. He/she develops, implements, and oversees a patient's individualized therapy plan, aiming to facilitate the highest levels of physical independence and recovery. The Physical Therapist II seeks input from the patient and family to ensure that the therapy plan directly addresses patient concerns regarding improving movement and managing pain. He/she actively participates in departmental program development and educational training for students and new hires.
Minimum 2 years of experience.
Has demonstrated interest, aptitude, and skill in the areas of student mentorship, clinical education, program development, and communication.
Physical Therapy License in the state of California.
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) certification
