Shriners Hospitals for Children-Houston is relocating to the Shriners facility in Galveston, TX and currently has a need in Galveston for a full time Pediatric Intensivist/Critical Care physician for the hospital’s PICU. This position reports directly to the Galveston hospital upon hire. Our family-centered approach to care is designed to support the whole family during management phases of acute burn injuries, post-operative orthopaedic spine procedures, and complex cleft lip and palate reconstructive procedures. Complex and difficult airway management skills are a mandatory prerequisite, as well as PALS certification.
Requirements: completion of an ACGME accredited Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship; American Board Certification or Eligibility from a US based residency program in Pediatrics or Medicine-Pediatrics. 3-5 years of active critical care experience is preferred.
