Chief Financial Officer Providence Anesthesiology Associates Charlotte, North Carolina Providence Anesthesiology Associates (PAA) seeks an accomplished financial executive to lead the day-to-day financial operations, accounting and reporting and revenue cycle management for this progressive anesthesia practice. The Chief Financial Officer provides financial assessment and direction and enables the Executive Committee to make strategic decisions around growth and expansion. Providence Anesthesiology Associates is an independent group practice with 65+ anesthesiologists providing anesthesia and perioperative care for patients at various healthcare facilities throughout North Carolina. They provide preoperative assessments and anesthesia services for over 125,000 patients each year within thirteen hospitals, over ten ambulatory surgery centers and private practice locations. The practice has an exclusive contract for physician anesthesia services in the Greater Charlotte Market of Novant Health system. Novant Health is a non-profit hospital system. PAA staffs the Novant facilities in Charlotte, community hospitals in both Matthews and Huntersville, as well as ambulatory centers throughout the region. The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the organization’s financial reporting, planning, analytic and accounting practices, billing operations as well as maintaining relationships to shareholders, vendors, lending institutions, healthcare systems, physician practices and payors. The Chief Financial Officer will lead a team of 45 staff with four direct reports and supports the Chief Executive Officer, President of the practice, and Executive Committee with the financial information to make informed decisions on practice operations. Ideal candidates will have a demonstrated track record in leading the finances and revenue cycle management for physician practices or MSO with the proven ability to develop and execute financial strategies, pro formas, and managed care contracts. Exceptional leadership, and interpersonal and communication skills are essential. A Master’s degree in business, accounting or finance, or equivalent experience is required. A CPA is preferred, as is experience in a single or multi-specialty group practice, preferably with multi-site responsibility.
