Baylor Scott and White Medical Center – Temple is seeking an outstanding General Surgeon to join the Department of Surgery at our 640-bed multi-specialty teaching hospital with a Level I Trauma designation in Temple, TX. 

Candidates must be BC/BE in General Surgery.

Position Highlights

• Bread and butter general surgery.
• At least three years of associated experience preferred, but will consider new graduates.
• Build upon and support an established program of excellence for general surgery.
• Privileges at our ACS verified Level I Trauma facility in Temple, TX
• 24 hour Dedicated OR Suite for Trauma and Emergency General Surgery with no restriction to OR access
• Academic affiliation with Texas A&M College of Medicine  
• Large general surgery residency program with resident coverage at all times.

Through various contracts with AdventHealth, Baylor Scott & White Health provides hospitalist, anesthesiologist, physician, nurse practitioner, and CRNA support to name a few, to help with their staffing needs. In addition, five Baylor Scott & White Health clinics including three care clinics, a specialty clinic, and McLane Children’s Scott & White Clinic – Killeen provide physician services to patients in the Killeen community.

QUALIFICATIONS

• MD/DO degree
• Board Certification by the American Board of Surgery or Osteopathic Board Certification
• Texas Medical License
• ATLS; BLS/ACLS; and PALS
