VA Northern California VA Health Care System (VANCHCS) is seeking a Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) to join the Chief of Staff and the Executive Leadership Team in leading the Health Care System in fulfilling its mission as a leader in Veteran's health care. The Chief of PM&R will be organized and dynamic, with the responsibility for overseeing the planning, developing, coordinating, directing, and evaluating of the immediate and future organization needs of the service.
The Chief of PM&R will supervise staff in PM&R Service Leadership, as well as the Assistant Chief of PM&R. The Chief will also directly oversee our PM&R and pain physicians, as well as chiropractors, and physical therapy, occupational therapy, and recreation therapy sections through section chiefs. Our PM&R staff of roughly 105 are located at 11 sites of care, including Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs), across Northern California, from the East San Francisco Bay to the Oregon border.

Work Schedule: 8am to 430pm, Monday-Friday/40-hour work week; no weekends on call.
Candidate Requirements:
1) US Citizen
2) Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the US
3) Degree of doctor in medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
4) Must have completed residency training and board eligible
5) Must complete vaccination for seasonal influenza and Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) which are both requirements for all Health Care Personnel (HCP) employed by Department of Veterans Affairs.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

$200,000 – $280,000 per year
