County, recently graded 'A' for patient safety by Leapfrog Group, provides high quality medical services to residents of the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities. The hospital is assisting a surgical group in the community to recruit a BC/BE General Surgeon for a private practice opportunity to include taking GS call and providing surgical services at PRMC.

Palmdale Regional Medical Center, a part of Southwest Healthcare, is licensed for 190 beds with planned build-out to 234. The hospital is designated as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center and offers a 35-bed Emergency Department. PRMC features inpatient and outpatient surgical services in bariatric, colorectal, orthopedic, neurological, spine, ENT, vascular, plastic, and robotics, featuring a da Vinci Xi. The hospital also offers medical and surgical oncology services in affiliation with City of Hope. A wound care center with hyperbaric medicine and the recent addition of the Rehabilitation Institute each offer inpatient and outpatient services. PRMC is owned and operated by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services (UHS), one of the nation's largest hospital and healthcare management companies.
